Why? because it's bedtime and she knows she's going to have a bedtime story, and she does love a bedtime story!

Why? - they have no idea, they're all following each other like sheep do.
And what about Downboy the sheepdog? 
Well he's just trying to do his job and round up all the sheep. Which isn't easy while Lucy is trying to count them to send herself to sleep...
